Job Details:

  • Assemble iron and steel components to form a frame at a construction site
  • Place foundation reinforcements according to blueprints and instructions
  • Operate hoisting equipment to move heavy materials
  • Bolt or weld components together
  • Ensure alignment before bolting is complete
  • Collaborate with construction workers to erect beams
  • Check alignment with laser-guided computer software and systems
  • Ride on structural-steel members to accurately position them or use tools to guide them into place
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and always wear protective equipment

Position Requirements:

  • Experience is required
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Follow directions and complete tasks promptly
  • Stand for an extended time
  • Engage in bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Cannot be afraid of heights
  • Able to work in various weather and temperature conditions
